Successes (What went right)

One of the successful parts of our game is creating an animation based on the assets we got. By adding animation such as opening the delivery box, put foods in and out of the box makes the game feels more dynamic and fluent. Also, the assets we found and chose are cohesive, and the game graphic style is In line with our expectations.

Failures (What went wrong)

One of the issues we encounter during the build process is the scooter can drive through the city model after the game is built in WebGL format. We also failed to build a more dynamic UI that represents the cell phone screen with delivery App install. And we were planning to add a GPS guiding system on the mini-map but also failed to implant that.

Right now we have to click on  the accept button several times to trigger the pickup points, we have no idea why this happens. Also for the picking up and delivering animation of the foods, we actually have a sequence of points that trigger the animation, and all the points are in order, so if we don't follow that order, then the animation shown is messed up. We know this is a coding problem, but we are not able to fix this within the limited time.

Lessons Learned 

Since we are not able to achieve the GPS system, we decided to make the pickup location and destination signal more vivid on the mini-map; we used the particle system to create rotating halos with bright blue and red colors to signify the points on the map that the player should go. 

Future Development 

For future development, we want to add a GPS guiding system and create infinite levels with random generate order and pick up and drop off locations. Also, we want to animate the cars and signal lights in the city to make the game more challenging and dynamic. 

Another pain point for delivery workers during work is that they often get calls and messages from merchants and users while they are on the way, usually about order information. This situation can be very annoying and dangerous when they are in a hurry. We hope to combine this feature in the future.
