 Game description

The game Fashion Raider is a game about a young man —— Ben, building his way up and finding those notorious fashion designers who designed too many exciting products that made Ben spent all his money! The scene of the story is set in city buildings, but the sky is not your limit. Use the boxes with the brand logo as the ladder to build up; go find the designer to get revenge. Using WASD to control direction, SPACE to jump, J to shoot, and K to build, be careful with the falling objects and enemy’s fire!

The development process overall

We brainstorm the game idea by using this game idea generator http://orteil.dashnet.org/gamegen, then we decided to do a shooting game about fashion designer with the following rules: build your way out(Press “B” to add box), shoot to destroy build, find the fashion designer and kill him/her, be mindful of your lifebar. 

The game consist of three levels:

Level 1: You have unlimited boxes to build, you only have to be careful about falling from high position and enemy’s fire.

Level 2: In this stage, you have to plan the amount of boxes, because there are only 15 boxes available. But you can restore the number of remaining builds by shooting unnecessary boxes.

Level 3: Similar to Level 2, the amount of boxes is also limited, meanwhile you also need to be careful of the boxes falling from the sky, that will also deduct blood.

Playtesting Feedback

- The jumping force is a bit low

- The box size is small

- The game is challenging and playable

- Box building is a fun mechanism

- Some platforms' height need adjustment, player cannot jump on them

- The environment is hard to relate to the fashion theme

- Building boxes is very fun to play, while maybe you can limit the amount of boxes that can be built to increase some difficulty.
